Day 1 | Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, an Akagera Aviation representative with a greeting board will meet you in the arrivals hall, assist you through immigration, and escort you to the lounge for refreshments while your luggage is collected. After retrieving your luggage, they will lead you to the car park to meet your &Beyond guide. You will then be driven to Kigali Serena Hotel for a 1-night stay in a Prime Room with an ensuite bathroom, including breakfast and dinner.

Day 2 | Kigali

Day 3 | Volcanos National Park

Embark on an adventure to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, the home of the largest population of wild mountain gorillas and the site of Dian Fossey's groundbreaking research. Accompanied by an expert guide, trek through dense, misty forests across a landscape dominated by five volcanoes, searching for family groups of mountain gorillas. The trek can take up to eight hours to locate a gorilla family group. Once found, spend about an hour quietly observing the gorillas in their natural habitat.

Embark on a guided Kigali City Tour, exploring the history, architecture, and culture of Rwanda's capital city with an expert guide. Visit the site of the first modern building and experience the bustling neighborhoods for a genuine taste of Kigali life. Learn about the city's rapid development and reputation as a friendly and safe destination. After the tour, you will be driven to Wilderness Sabyinyo for a 2-night stay in a cottage with an ensuite bathroom, including all meals, laundry, room service, and a selection of drinks.

Day 4 | Volcanos National Park

A member from our andBeyond team will collect you from Wilderness Sabyinyo and drive you to Kigali where you can enjoy an early dinner before heading to Kigali International Airport in time to meet your onward arrangements. Depart Kigali International Airport on Rwandair flight WB102 at 22:30 to OR Tambo International Airport, arriving at 02:20 the next morning.

Day 5-6 | Johannesburg

Day 7-9 | Okavango Delta

Embark on a short game drive to Chitabe Airstrip for a 15-minute Mack Air flight to Maun International Airport, enjoying final views of the Okavango Delta's lagoons and islands. Depart Maun on Airlink flight 4Z315 to Cape Town International Airport. Upon arrival, a Menzies Aviation representative will assist you through customs and immigration, then an andBeyond team member will drive you to Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel with views of Table Mountain. Enjoy a 3-night stay at the hotel in a Superior Room, including breakfast, shuttle, internet, and spa facilities.

Day 11 | Cape Town

Day 12 | Cape Town

This full-day Cape Peninsula tour starts in the coastal suburb of Hout Bay, with its long beach and harbour-front emporium, Mariner's Wharf. Depending on road conditions, travel along Chapman's Peak Drive, then to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Diaz Cross. Enjoy potential lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Simon's Town, known for its naval base, and the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Conclude at the stunning Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens set against Table Mountain.

Start your Cape Town tour at Table Mountain or Signal Hill if the weather is not clear. Visit Greenmarket Square and stroll through the historic Company Gardens, established in 1652. View the Houses of Parliament, Castle of Good Hope, and the Slave Lodge. Explore the colorful houses of the traditional Malay Quarter in Bo-Kaap and listen to the noonday gun from Signal Hill. Note that Table Mountain is annually closed from 22 July to 8 August (dates may vary).

Day 10 | Mount Nelson

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, a Menzies Aviation representative will assist you through customs and immigration, and escort you to the Intercontinental OR Tambo International Airport Hotel. After resting, you'll be assisted back to the airport for your flight to Maun International Airport, departing on Airlink flight 4Z300. In Maun, an andBeyond team member will help you board a Mack Air light aircraft to Nxabega Airstrip, a 25-minute scenic flight. Look out for wildlife as you fly to your destination. Enjoy a 2-night stay at andBeyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp, inclusive of meals, drinks, game drives, insurance, laundry, and transfers.

Embark on a short game drive to Nxabega Airstrip, where a Mack Air light aircraft will fly you and other guests to Chitabe Airstrip, a journey of about 15 minutes over the Okavango Delta's vast waterscapes. Enjoy a 3-night stay at andBeyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge in a suite with indoor and outdoor showers. Your stay includes meals, drinks, game drives, safari activities, insurance, laundry, and airstrip transfers.

Day 13 | Departure

You will be collected from Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel and driven to Cape Town International Airport.
